The small 2U four-channel D20 amplifier is suitable for small to medium sound level requirements in mobile applications as well as in fixed installations. An integral part of the D20 is digital signal processing (DSP), a characteristic feature of the latest generation of d&b amplifiers. The DSP platform provides configurations for all d&b loudspeakers and a linear mode. The exceptions are the J-Series loudspeakers and the M2 monitor, which are not available on the D20. The digital delay allows user-specific settings of up to 10 s (= 3440 m), independently for each channel. The same applies to the two 16-band equalizers, which provide optional parametric, notch, shelving and asymmetric filter functions. The D20 user interface consists of a TFT colour display with touch function for visual information and quick access to the menu structure, and an additional rotary encoder for data entry. For ease of use and readability, the front panel, including the integrated display, is tilted upwards. The fact that an amplifier output is available for each input increases flexibility in use, especially for monitor, front fill or effect channel applications. The LoadMatch function in the D20 serves to electrically compensate for the characteristics of the speaker cable. The small 2U four-channel D20 amplifier is suitable for small to medium sound level requirements in mobile applications as well as in fixed installations. An integral part of the D20 is digital signal processing (DSP), a characteristic feature of Class D amplifiers. The D20 has a switching power supply with active power factor correction (PFC) that can be operated at mains voltages of 100 V – 240 V, 50 – 60 Hz. Active power factor correction ensures stable operation even on poorly dimensioned or unstable supply networks. An NL8 output carries the output signals of all four amplifier channels. Dual-channel operation is possible via four individual NL4 outputs, while the output configurations Mix-TOP/SUB and 2-way active operation for applicable d&b loudspeakers are available via two dedicated NL4 outputs. RJ 45 sockets and etherCON connectors enable connection to the d&b remote network via CAN bus or OCA over Ethernet.
