Proteus Maximus – the name alone promises a maximum of features. And this is exactly what the top-of-the-line product from ELATION delivers. 

Alongside the Proteus Rayzor 760, Proteus Maximus is the second device in the successful Proteus IP-65 series to use LEDs as its light source. The Maximus delivers an impressive 50,000 lumens, generated by an LED engine specially developed for ELATION, which is the only engine on the market capable of creating a hotspot. This means that the device is not only as bright as possible, but is also recommended for permanent outdoor installations thanks to the long service life of the LED engine.

As usual with ELATION, the Proteus Maximus is very comprehensively equipped. The full range of features includes color mixing in the form of a fast and absolutely homogeneous CMY color mixing system, as well as infinitely variable CTO for color correction. An additional color wheel offers fixed, saturated colors as well as a UV and high CRI filter for applications where high-quality color reproduction is important.

The indexable diaphragm slider system allows the beam to be precisely adjusted to almost any lighting situation. In addition to six rotating and seven fixed glass gobos, the optical system of the Proteus Maximus also includes a rotating animation wheel and two combinable prisms for spectacular effect combinations. The dual frost works continuously and offers a light frost, for example for combining with gobos, and a heavy frost for use as a wash light. The high-speed iris rounds off the package.

Like all devices in the Proteus series, the Maximus also has a sophisticated IP 65-certified housing, making the outdoor moving light equipped with a special marine coating ideal not only for permanent outdoor use, but also for use at sea or on cruise ships. Internal sensors and an integrated and independently operating heating system guarantee perfect light at all times. In addition to DMX 512-A (RDM), the equipment package also includes ArtNet and sACN as well as a large LC display for easy configuration.
